Child’s tales which treat the subject of
NO DISCRIMINATION
The editorial mark ND has been created by the

The bases of a society are the values started during
the childhood and which are developed inside the
person until he becomes an adult.
It is very important for a whole personality
that every person may grow up with values as
NO DISCRIMINATION
for reason of sexual orientation or identity,
race, religion, social status, disabilities, etc.
Nobody is superior or inferior to other people because
he is different. Differences make us the only ones
as human beings and this fact is a very important value.

We know the lack of child’s publications related
with homosexuality and we also know the difficulties
of their authors to publish them.
The NO DISCRIMINATION NGO
wants to carry out
this difficult task of publication.
We start this path with the tale
“Seelie, el hada buena”
(Seelie, the good fairy) of M. Luisa Guerrero
(author of the first child’s tale written in Spanish
language with a lesbian as a main character,
“La princesa Ana” – The Princess Ana).
“There are some things we have to change
and one of them is the idea we have had until
now about what a family has to be”.
|
 |
The word “hada” (fairy) comes from the Latin word “fata”,
who comes from “fatum”, future, fate, destine. Now and
then “Seelie, el hada buena” (Seelie, the good fairy)
will be our destine for many people, our “good destine”.
And the tale ends as follow:
... Have you got two mothers,
who love each other and love you?...
And now, you might answer me:
"- My mothers love me very much!!!!"

In this book we can find values like
team work, effort to achieve our goals,
the capacity to reach agreements,
the value of ancient things,
friendship and … love.
The story of two friends who end up
discovering that they love each other.
... because it is important to grow up with values

Anne was a Princess who lived
very happily, but she grew up and,
following the tradition, her parents
started to look for a possible husband
and future King to succeed them.
From that day on,
Anne became sadder by the day.
In every fairy tale there is
a frog which, when kissed
by the princess, changes into…
and this is the exact point
where to change
tradition…
... because time has come to change tradition.

Sometimes there are fantastic and incredible stories
and nobody believes they are real. This one is.
What would you say if I told you
a mermaid fell in love with Marta?
Perhaps we’re talking about a
“world of fantasy”… Or perhaps not!
Through a world of fantasy... Or perhaps not!
